Jinan Zunkai Materials has expanded the RAL color palette available on its PPGI (pre-painted galvanized steel) coil products, adding 15 new standard colors to the production lineup. The expanded palette now covers over 40 RAL shades, supporting architectural specifications for roofing, wall cladding, and decorative panel applications.
The July 2026 color expansion adds shades frequently requested by clients in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and African markets. New additions to the standard range include:
These join the existing standard range of RAL 3000 (Flame Red), RAL 5005 (Signal Blue), RAL 6005 (Moss Green), RAL 7016 (Anthracite Grey), RAL 8017 (Chocolate Brown), RAL 9003 (Signal White), RAL 9010 (Pure White), and others.
All PPGI in the expanded color range uses a standard polyester (PE) topcoat at 15–20 µm dry film thickness over a 5 µm epoxy primer and chromate or chrome-free pre-treatment. The substrate is DX51D+Z galvanized steel at Z100–Z180 coating mass. For projects requiring enhanced UV resistance and color retention, PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) topcoat is available at 25 µm with a corresponding lead-time extension.
Custom RAL colors beyond the 40-shade standard range can be produced on mill order with a minimum quantity of 25 metric tons per color. Color matching to client-supplied samples is available for volume orders.
Standard back-coating is a single-layer epoxy or polyester in grey or off-white at 5–7 µm. For double-sided visible applications (e.g., sandwich panel facings where both sides may be exposed), full two-coat systems on both faces can be specified.
