Jinan Zunkai Materials Co., Ltd. has completed the shipment of 500 metric tons of hot-dip galvanized steel coils to a construction materials distributor based in the Middle East. The order was loaded in 20-foot and 40-foot containers at Qingdao Port and departed in late June 2026.
The shipment consisted of GI coils in thicknesses of 0.30 mm, 0.40 mm, and 0.50 mm, all with Z100 zinc coating per EN 10346. Coil widths were 1,219 mm and 1,250 mm, optimized for the client's roll-forming lines producing corrugated roofing sheets for residential and agricultural buildings. Standard coil weight was 4–6 metric tons per unit to match the client's decoiling equipment capacity.
Material grade was DX51D+Z, commercial quality suitable for the bending and profiling operations required for roofing profiles. All coils shipped with full mill test certificates to EN 10204 3.1, documenting chemical composition, mechanical properties, and zinc coating mass per unit area.
Container loading was completed at Zunkai's Jinan warehouse facility, with trucking to Qingdao Port (approximately 400 km, 5–6 hours transit). Ocean freight transit time to the destination port in the Middle East is estimated at 25–30 days. The shipment is expected to arrive at the client's warehouse by late July 2026.
Each container was loaded with coils in eye-to-sky orientation on wooden cradles with anti-slip padding. Moisture-proof wrapping and container desiccants were applied to prevent condensation damage during ocean transit.
This order represents the third shipment to this client in 2026, bringing the year-to-date total to approximately 1,200 metric tons of galvanized steel products. The client serves the roofing and cladding market across multiple Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, where galvanized and color-coated steel sheets are in consistent demand for construction projects.
Zunkai Materials maintains buffer stock of popular GI gauges to support repeat orders with shortened lead times. Clients with ongoing requirements are encouraged to discuss quarterly supply agreements for priority allocation during peak construction season.
